Welcome! If you want to learn more about how the courses work here at Slang, you’re in the right place. There are more than 120 courses on our platform, and they are divided between two types: the allowed courses and the assigned courses. Let’s talk more about them!
I’m part of an organization
The assigned courses
These are the courses handpicked for you by your organization. They are different depending on your area of expertise. It is very important to give priority to these courses, as they are the ones that will help you to develop your professional English more and more.
To find your assigned courses, you just have to follow the steps bellow.

- Log in to your Slang account
- Click on “Courses”, at the top right corner of your screen
- If you have assigned courses, the title “Assigned courses” will be behind the search bar
- You can also view your courses by clicking on the arrow in the upper left corner of your screen
- Done! You’re ready to improve your professional English 😎
I’m studying on the app 📱
- Log in to your Slang account
- Tap on “Courses”, at the bottom left corner of your screen
- If you have assigned courses, the title “Assigned courses” will be behind the search bar
- You can also view your courses by clicking on the arrow in the upper left corner of your screen
- Done! You’re ready to improve your professional English 😎
The allowed courses
These are all the courses available for you to study. If you’re part of an organization that has Slang licenses, it may be that all of the courses are available for you, or just a few. They are a complement for your learning path.
Feel free to take as many courses as you want to, but give priority to your assigned courses, because they were assigned to you to help improve your professional English. Each area of knowledge has its own needs!
To find your allowed courses, you just have to follow the steps bellow.

- Browse through the Categories
- At the search bar, you can also type in the name of the course you want to study or just type in a keyword of the area of knowledge that you want to study
- Click at “Study”, to the right of the course name
- If they’re available for you, you’ll just have to start studying! 😎
- If they aren’t available for you, a message will appear in red; talk to the person in charge in your organization

I’m an individual user
These are all the courses available for you to study. If you’re an individual user with a Pro subscription, all of the courses will be available for you. If you’re an individual user with a Free subscription, you’ll only have access to the courses Beginner 1 and COVID-19: English for Infectious Disease Control.

Feel free to study whatever course you want, but we always recommend that you study the ones that better fit your area of expertise to improve your professional English!
